Michael Quoia is an RHR partner and senior leadership consultant offering more than 20 years of experience designing and delivering client engagements that result in demonstrable client impact and consistently positive client feedback. He is CEO and C-suite savvy, having worked with large- and mid-sized companies and startups, and has a broad industry background including technology, healthcare, financial services, industrial companies, and consumer products.
Before joining RHR, Michael held senior roles focused on executive assessment, senior team effectiveness, and executive coaching as a leadership consultant at Russell Reynolds Associates, KSE Leadership, The Miles Group, and Heidrick & Struggles. Earlier in his career, he worked as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company, and he was formerly a leader and manager in the United States Navy.
Michael brings an analytical and rigorous approach to his work assessing leaders and teams and an empathetic and supportive approach when developing others. He believes all leaders can grow and develop, and he is particularly passionate about constructive-developmental psychology and helping leaders transform themselves as they navigate leadership, career, and life transitions.
Michael holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business as well as a master’s degree in education from the Stanford Graduate School of Education. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a bachelor’s degree in systems engineering. Based near the natural beauty of Muir Woods National Monument in the San Francisco Bay Area, Michael enjoys trail running, hiking, skiing at Lake Tahoe, and cooking Thai and Ethiopian food for family and friends.
