Andrea Burleson is a partner at RHR who brings more than 30 years of experience in talent assessment, succession planning, and executive coaching across industries such as energy, tech, insurance, pharma/biotech, and consumer products. Her work focuses on CEO succession, executive integration, and selection assessments for a wide range of functional roles including operations, IT, human resources, legal, and marketing. Andrea helps leaders gain clarity on how their behaviors influence their impact, providing insights that fuel personal growth and business performance.
Andrea’s coaching approach is direct, developmental, and tailored. She creates space for open dialogue and uses assessment tools to help leaders identify the most important areas for improvement. Known for her insightfulness and strong listening skills, Andrea is described by clients as a powerful thought partner who delivers feedback that leads to meaningful change. Her prior roles include leading talent-management efforts at United Airlines and Exelon Corporation, where she handled system-wide succession planning and team effectiveness for leaders.
Andrea holds a PhD and master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from DePaul University and a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Southwestern University. She is a certified executive coach, Hogan assessment-certified, and a member of the American Psychological Association, Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and International Coaching Federation. Andrea has also taught at the university level and consulted with companies from nuclear energy to quick-service restaurants. When she’s not working, Andrea can be found with her daughter exploring the best kid-friendly spots in Austin, Texas, including parks, theaters, and hiking trails.
