Justin Long is an RHR partner based in Southern California. His mission is to help clients maximize their competitive advantage through talent and win in the marketplace. His mix of commercial acumen, corporate talent management experience, and psychology expertise gives him a unique ability to guide leaders, teams, and organizations to reach exceptional performance.
Justin’s expertise includes advising on selection decisions for critical roles, accelerating leaders’ development through coaching, and elevating team performance. His practical, business-focused approach resonates with executives across diverse functions. He has done extensive work in the financial services, biotech/pharma, retail, technology, and consumer packaged goods industries.
As an executive coach, Justin is known for creating clarity and being results driven. This gives him an edge when guiding leaders to prioritize development areas that will yield the highest return. Justin’s coaching specialties include helping leaders accelerate their integration into new roles, elevate their executive presence, and overcome limitations to their influencing style.
Prior to RHR, Justin held leadership roles in corporate talent management, where was accountable for performance management and succession planning. He also provided customized leadership development solutions for high potentials and advised on talent decisions in M&A contexts. Justin began his career in sales with AT&T, where he managed key accounts, mentored emerging sales talent, and designed new product training.
Justin earned his PhD in business psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He holds a master’s degree in theology from Fuller Seminary and bachelor’s degrees in psychology and philosophy from the University of Delaware.
Outside of work, Justin enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is also an active member of his church and supports various nonprofit organizations.
