Kari Bruursema is a partner at RHR and an industrial and organizational psychologist with over 15 years of experience in management consulting. Her expertise includes executive assessment, leadership development, top team facilitation, and organizational culture and change.
Prior to joining RHR, Kari was a principal consultant at Ampersand Leadership Group, focusing on mid-market private equity and corporate clients. She specialized in executive assessment, top team effectiveness, and organizational diligence and development. Kari has a proven track record of delivering C-level assessments and insights, building C-level scorecards, and listening to and understanding clients’ business problems. In her prior client service roles at McKinsey & Company and Accenture, Kari focused on organizational and talent challenges, partnering with clients to build more effective ways of working in service of the business strategy and context. Kari has worked across multiple industries, including financial services, products (consumer goods, agriculture, and retail), technology, healthcare, and renewable energy.
Kari earned a PhD and a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of South Florida and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Grand Valley State University. She resides in Michigan with her young family.
