Kristen Gilson is a client analyst with RHR International. Based in San Diego, she leverages her expertise in research and analytics to develop data-driven insights that are grounded in both quantitative and qualitative sources. A lifelong competitive swimmer, Kristen’s professional interests are similarly performance oriented. She specializes in the work of partnering with senior leaders, teams, and boards to deepen their understanding of their unique strengths, potential vulnerabilities, and opportunities for growth or enhancement. Her industry experience includes retail, biotech, energy, private equity, and consumer packaged goods.

A long-standing member of RHR’s Objective Testing Center of Excellence, Kristen leads and partners with colleagues in parsing and synthesizing data sets at the individual, team, and organizational levels. She is valued firm-wide for her ability to characterize the leadership behaviors, motivations, and practices that are correlated with successful performance and career advancement. Kristen is also the co-creator and co-leader of RHR’s Forces of Nature team, a group dedicated to the identification and adoption of environmentally sound, future-forward business practices. She is motivated by opportunities to share her passion for sustainability and bring others into the work of to strengthening RHR’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) mindset around all operations and processes.

Kristen’s interest in people and workforce analytics was ignited during her early career tenure with PricewaterhouseCoopers before joining RHR. She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology and communications at Purdue University and a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology at George Mason University.

Committed to both physical and mental wellness, Kristen balances her client and firm workload with swims in the pool or ocean and ample time in the California sunshine, hiking or running with her dog Kirby. Doing her best to make Kristen proud every day, Kirby keeps the yard safe from squirrels, the floor free of crumbs, and the neighborhood full of new friends and acquaintances.
