Lisa Carey is a partner at RHR with more than 30 years of human resources and corporate experience at multinational companies. As a business psychologist, she is a trusted advisor to CEOs, boards, and leadership teams across technology, healthcare, consumer products, financial services, and publishing. Lisa specializes in helping public and private equity-owned companies address complex leadership and organizational challenges, driving systemic change and business growth through strategic partnerships. Her relationship-driven approach enables her to coach and help develop senior leaders to achieve sustainable success and long-term impact.
Lisa has a proven track record of leading large-scale initiatives focused on selecting, assessing, and developing key talent and strengthening leadership effectiveness. She has successfully guided organizations through significant transformations, including restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and workforce planning. Before joining RHR, Lisa was the chief human resources officer at Corporate Risk Holdings and Kroll and served as senior vice president of human resources at Cengage, where she led HR operations across the U.S. and internationally. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at Deloitte, Philip Morris USA, and IBM.
Lisa holds a PhD and a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from Hofstra University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from University at Albany. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, staying active, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
