Michael Romenesko is a business strategist and analytics leader at RHR who brings a decade of experience transforming financial insights into business impact across financial services, consulting, and public institutions. With a foundation in financial analysis and a talent for leading high-performing teams, Michael has consistently helped organizations align data and strategic goals to drive operational and market growth.

Previously a senior manager of underwriting management at Ryan Specialty, Michael led a team overseeing finance, strategy, and analytics for the division. His initiatives included designing dynamic forecasting models, assessing foreign exchange risks, and driving business development strategies that have uncovered new market opportunities exceeding $300 million in gross written premium. Before that, he managed enterprise analytics strategy at KPMG’s education and innovation facility, where he partnered with operational leaders to optimize the data infrastructure and analytics, including the facility’s ROI and sustainability metrics.

Michael holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he concentrated in finance, accounting, and international business. His work on impact investing and ESG innovation continues to influence his professional and volunteer pursuits, which includes service on the board of trustees for The Nature Conservancy of Illinois.
