Parley Acker is an RHR leadership development consultant and certified executive coach. With more than 30 years of experience as a leader and coach, he has led the design and execution of leadership development programs across industries with global companies that include General Electric, Aramco, and Citigroup. His past roles included senior vice president of human resources and vice president of talent development.
Parley has had the privilege of assessing, advising, and coaching executives and emerging leaders from a wide variety of cultures. Most recently, he completed a four-year assignment in the Middle East, where he was head of career development for a $2 trillion company as well as chief human resources leader for a major division with 10,000 employees. He has worked with individuals from Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas. His passion is partnering with people at all professional levels to help them grow personally and professionally as leaders, colleagues, and fellow human beings. He is particularly fond of supporting emerging talent as they develop their skills to grow into world-class leaders who in turn will inspire leadership excellence in their own teams.
Parley holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Marist College and a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from The State University of New York at New Paltz. He is a certified coach through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Parley and his wife are originally from upstate New York but now live in the Seattle, Washington area close to family. They love traveling, experiencing other cultures, hiking, fitness, and collecting art and historical pieces such as World War I trench art.
