Age, Term Limits to Drive Director Refreshment This Year

A majority of S&P 500 companies have mandatory retirement policies based on age as of last year, according to ESGauge. Some 37.3% have policies where the board may permit exceptions, while 25.8% have policies with no exceptions. More than half (56.2%) of companies set 75 as the mandatory retirement age.” RHR’s Deb Rubin recently had the chance to speak with Financial Times’ Agenda Week about board refreshment over the next year and how age and term limits factor into these decisions.
