Leading through Ambiguity
Strong leadership skills come to the fore in challenging times. Leaders who don’t step up to inform, connect, guide, and unite miss out on opportunities to keep people focused and engaged. As Joanna Starek, chief executive officer coach and chief commercial officer at RHR International, experienced during a recent trip, leading in today’s world means being able to rally others even when things are going wrong as fast as you can fix them. Although this style of leadership does not require perfection. It does require authenticity, clear communication, and a willingness to engage with people.
